Hot Fun Comedy Group

Working with fellow designer Tim LaSalle we created a logo for a NYC based comedy/improv group working in west village. The logo was successfully used for 2 years as they performed various shows including the wildly popular “Hot Fun in the [Season]” series.

Hot Fun In The Summertime was our first marketing series with the Hot Fun Group, I worked with fellow designer Tim LaSalle on the brand and marketing. We worked closely with the the actors and musicians to hone their marketing voice, we were at most of the rehearsals to grow the brand as the group crafted in their stories. We created a collage referencing major films, pieces of art, folklore and theatre production to reflect the improvisational and skit performances created by the actors. It debuted for a week in the famous Cherry Lane Theatre to a sold out crowd all 3 nights.

The group’s success with the first series, sparked a Christmas themed show. We again worked closely with the writers and actors and created an old school “boxing themed” marketing series. Using old Christmas-time movie classics, child actors and “misfit toys” we created the imagery of St. Nick in a brawl against Krampus for Christmas superiority.
